How Fleetkeep works for a trades fleet

Add van registrations individually or import a CSV of up to 50 vehicles. Fleetkeep retrieves available MOT and tax information from official services. Add the details those lookups do not provide:

  • A label. "Old white Transit", "Sprinter, Jamie", "Custom blue lifted". So you know which is which without checking plates.
  • Insurance renewal date. Whatever your broker quoted you when you renewed.
  • Last service date and interval. Default 12 months. Set 9 or 6 if you're high-mileage.

Choose reminder timings and verified recipients. The dashboard brings the next actions for each van together, with maintenance history and supporting records.

FAQs

I'm a sole trader. Is this for me?

Yes. If you run one van it's still the same MOT, tax, insurance, service cycle, and Fleetkeep pricing is based on vehicle count. If you run a vehicle in your own name rather than a company, the registered keeper details on the V5C still apply.

What happens if I sell a van?

Remove it from your dashboard and the reminders stop immediately. We don't keep historical reminders running on vehicles you no longer own.

Will it remind me about my own driving licence renewal?

No. Driving licences are a per-driver concern, not a per-vehicle one. Fleetkeep is vehicle-scoped. If you need driver licence checks, the DVLA's online check service (gov.uk/check-driving-information) is free and worth setting a calendar reminder for.

Can I add a vehicle owned by an employee or sub-contractor?

Yes, anyone you want to track. The vehicle's data still comes from DVLA, but the reminders go to your inbox. Make sure you have permission to track it from the keeper.
