For UK taxi & PHV

Fleet compliance reminders for taxi and private hire

Keep each taxi or private hire vehicle's MOT, road tax, insurance renewal and service dates together. Add a UK registration to retrieve available official MOT and tax information, then add the insurance and service details your team tracks. Council licensing checks and driver requirements vary, so confirm those dates with your licensing authority.

Vehicle dates to keep together

Fleetkeep helps you review the vehicle-level information relevant to a taxi or PHV operation:

  • MOT and road tax: available UK data can be retrieved when you add a registration.
  • Insurance renewal: enter the date from your insurer or broker. Fleetkeep does not verify cover type.
  • Servicing and maintenance: record a service interval, mileage, work and supporting documents.
  • Reminders: choose reminder timings and verified recipients for upcoming vehicle dates.

Fleetkeep tracks the national DVSA MOT date. Council vehicle tests, licence conditions and driver checks are separate and must be confirmed with the relevant licensing authority.

How Fleetkeep handles a PHV fleet

Sign in with Google, paste registrations of every licensed vehicle (one at a time or as a CSV upload up to 50 vehicles). We pull MOT and tax data from DVLA's published services. You add what DVLA doesn't hold:

  • A label per vehicle. Driver name, fleet number, plate prefix, whatever helps you find the vehicle quickly.
  • Insurance renewal date. The day your hire-and-reward policy expires.
  • Service interval. 12 months or 6 months, depending on mileage.

Set reminders for the MOT and tax dates Fleetkeep retrieves, plus the insurance and service dates you enter. Add verified recipients when another person also needs to see those emails.

Keep council-specific checks in view

Licensing authorities set their own vehicle tests, age rules and driver requirements. Those details are not returned by the national MOT lookup and are not verified by Fleetkeep. Add a separate reminder if useful, and confirm the current rules directly with your authority.

FAQs

I'm a single-vehicle Uber or Bolt driver. Is this for me?

Yes. The MOT, tax and hire-and-reward insurance requirements apply identically whether you operate one vehicle or 25. Fleetkeep pricing is based on vehicle count after the trial.

Does Fleetkeep handle the council's compliance test as well as the MOT?

We track DVSA's MOT due date, which is the national one. Most councils run a separate compliance test on a different cycle. We don't have access to that data and it varies per authority. Use Fleetkeep for the MOT layer; track the council test in your council's own portal.

Will it tell me if a vehicle's age has crossed the licensing maximum?

No. Vehicle-age and emissions rules depend on the licensing authority and vehicle licence. Check the current rules with your authority. Fleetkeep does not verify licensing eligibility.

Does this share data with TfL or the council?

No. We don't share your data with any licensing authority or platform. Reminders go only to your inbox and an optional second contact you add.
